Two men have been arrested for attempted murder following a shooting incident on North-end Street on Sunday evening, 07 December 2025.
The shooting resulted in three victims being wounded: two children, aged four and seven, and an adult male.
Following the incident, the Station Commander of Cloetesville South African Police Service (SAPS) instructed officers to work continuously to apprehend those responsible. Members immediately activated informer networks and collected witness statements.
The police’s efforts led to a breakthrough within two hours. Acting on gathered information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts, officers located and arrested two individuals.
The suspects, aged 27 and 31, now face charges of attempted murder. They are expected to appear in the Stellenbosch Magistrates’ Court once formal charges have been laid.
