A multi-disciplinary team led by the Politsi K9 Unit has arrested a male suspect of unknown age for possession and dealing in drugs during an intelligence-driven operation in the Tzaneen Central Business District.
Acting on positive information regarding alleged suspicious activities in the CBD, officers identified and approached an African male suspect at the market. A subsequent search of the individual resulted in the seizure of the following items: 36 sachets of crystal meth, eight sachets of nyaope, 80 packets of illicit Royal cigarettes, and an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was arrested immediately and remains in custody. He is scheduled to appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 16 April 2026, to face charges of dealing in illicit cigarettes and drugs.
Police confirm that the investigation remains ongoing.
